Camilla opens 'Hotel of Curiosity' at Short Hills Mall, New Jersey

Australian luxury print designer Camilla is set to expand on the East Coast with the opening of its fourth U.S. store on February 15.

Located at the Short Hills Mall in New Jersey, the 'Hotel of Curiosity' is the latest location in Camilla's global boutique portfolio. 

As shoppers step through the doors of the 'Hotel of Curiosity', they are welcomed by handcrafted mosaic flooring, which guides visitors toward bespoke Camilla carpeting, offering a choice between a champagne bar with Camilla upholstered chairs or a themed area featuring a vintage train adorned with images from the founder’s global journeys.

True to Camilla's heritage, the signature prints, meticulously hand-drawn and painted by skilled artisans, take center stage in store. Menswear and Womenswear are displayed above brass totem animal details embedded in the timber flooring. Lastly, columns adorned with Camilla's iconic prints showcase a range of accessories, footwear, sunglasses, and home products. 

“I aim to provide a sumptuous experience for first-time visitors and loyal clients alike, some of whom have been with me since the beginning,” said founder Camilla Franks.

Founded in Bondi Beach in 2004, Camilla has grown into a respected print house and luxury brand, with audiences across 55 countries. The inauguration at Short Hills Mall complements Camilla's existing U.S. boutiques at Merrick Park in Coral Gables, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, and Aventura Mall in Miami. 

The opening also aligns with Camilla's strategic five-year expansion plan, placing emphasis on the inclusion of ready-to-wear fashion. Last year, Camilla received a minority investment from Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s investment vehicle Tattarang. The investment was expected to help fund international expansion.
