Hunkemöller names new CEO as Grevy prepares to take the reins

Dutch lingerie giant Hunkemöller has unveiled succession plans with a new CEO arriving early next year when current incumbent Philip Mountford steps down.

So who will be in the hot seat? Step forward ex-Gant CEO Brian Grevy who has an impressive CV. He spent 11 years at Adidas in increasingly senior roles, and was CEO of Sweden’s Gant for two years until 2020. He also spent two years at Reebok.

Danish-born, he’ll be relocating to the Netherlands when he take over on 1 February.

Mountford leaves at the end of January, a move that was originally announced this summer. He was at the helm for almost 15 years, during which time the company went from 350 stores in the Benelux countries and turnover of €200 million to 900+ stores in 20+ markets and sales of €750 million.

Grevy said his focus will be continuing to build on the core strengths and “connecting them closer to where our consumer is moving; through creating and implementing a fully integrated, service driven consumer experience, which will lay the foundation for us to successfully deliver our next chapter of growth.”
