Falconeri signs up French actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as brand ambassador
Italian premium knitwear label Falconeri, which first entered the French market in 2019, has signed up a new brand ambassador to boost its visibility in France. Falconeri has chosen actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, star of the TV series Call My Agent and Emily in Paris, to front its Fall/Winter 2023-24 campaign.
Leroy-Beaulieu features for Falconeri, owned by Italian hosiery and lingerie group Calzedonia, in an advertising campaign inspired by the pared-down codes of quiet luxury. The campaign kicked off on November 1, and it puts cashmere, Falconeri’s signature fabric, centre-stage.
Leroy-Beaulieu, aged 60, spent part of her childhood in Italy, and started her film and theatre career in the 1980s. She was in Milan on October 11, when Falconeri staged its first-ever runway show.
Falconeri’s menswear and womenswear collections are distributed via 175 monobrand stores worldwide, of which 91 in Italy. In France, the label operates some 15 stores, and has announced it will open a Parisian flagship at 92 rue de Rivoli on November 16.
The Calzedonia group also owns lingerie and hosiery chains Intimissimi, Calzedonia and Tezenis. In 2022, the group recorded a revenue of €3.047 billion, equivalent to a 21.6% increase over the previous year.
